@kfa444 Jeez Kev, Dr B should be healing, not re-opening old wounds! You are excused any further involvement with this particular Jam. Please accept a tube of blue smarties and a copy of my new book "Teenage Agony & the Efficacy of the Voodoo Doll"...you are sir, a man of immeasurable virtue, by any examination... ;-)
Ay up - yer wot!!!? I no nuffin' on this existitantisms of which you speek. That goin back to skool terbe a dokter us made a difrence! Can't yer just play that funky music loud boy?
@mikelowe Why thank you kind sir. I was enjoying the company of Messrs Francie & Josie so much, I barely noticed the early winter breezeette. As a lover of all things Antarctic, the howler merely afforded me the opporchancity to peruse my extensive collection of Shackletonesque literature. On another positive note, my washing's dry...
I can't remember hearing this before. It ended rather abruptly. Was it supposed to? Sounded as if it had been cut off in its prime - a bit like young Jimbo.
@heatherrings Thought it would be good to pick a lesser known track, for a wee change. I believe the track (from the Morrison Hotel album) runs straight on into another called Blue Sunday, hence the abrupt ending...as you rightly point out, rather like the boy, Jim...
@lindatee Well done for actually bothering to listen to the lyrics, Lindylocks! Yes, a boppy wee number, but dark lyrics from the portals of Jimbo's mind. Great song nonetheless. Lots of entertainment for under two minutes...
great jam,Jims birthday was remembered on timj, along with Johns murder, also sadly Richard Coughlin founder /drummer/friend--Caravan.Jim Morrison,a great poet, musician, very sadly missed. been a grey week, and its not done yet.
@lynn200 Thanks Lynn. Ah bugger, didn't know about Rich Coughlan. How sad. 66...rather a short innings, really. Well his legacy is being at the helm of one of Canterbury's finest. A rich tapestry of art rock. Sorry for the loss of a friend... x
@VickyMB1970 You are most welcome, sister! You're so right, Vick. Jimbo, Jimi, Moon the Loon, Janis J...there's just a certain undefinable something about those and others, that determines a short stay on Planet Mad. But my, what treasures they all left us...
cant say a friend..long distant past friend, jem told me last night, but what i feel bad about, RIP told it yesterday,i missed it.just like i missed a planned reunion on my recent visit to UK. then John Lennon...and all the hyprocracy at Nelsons Mandelas memorial service...any way..enough said.when all this greyness has has gone i have a jam to' blow all minds coming up.:))
@lynn200 Missed opportunities Lynn...all part of life's sometimes not so rich, but certainly mysterious tapestry. As for Mr Mandela...I think I may have hinted my feelings about that. We're probably not so far apart in our opinions...onwards and sideways...lookin' forward to THAT Jam!! My mind may already be blown, but my socks are still capable of removal... ;-)
