LOVE layers/variation/repetition ... and this is a stunning example! Enjoyed the arrhythmic cacophony that kicked in 2nd half.

@clickysounds Isn't it incredible? I get a physical reaction to it - sort of prickly eyes and clicky teeth - just the way it unfolds... :))))))))

@clickysounds There's another which I haven't listened to yet over at @GetIntoZeChoppa's page

that one is playing right now. It would *have* to be the youth orchestra... most orchestras would walk out if someone tried to physically choreograph their movements. hehe.

Wow. I wish I could listen to this on a super-hi-fi crystal clear and brutally loud stereo rather than through my laptop speakers.

AlicejustMay

@thisismymistake Ah - I'm lucky enough to work with excellent and brutally loud hifi/speakers to hand...

Incredible soundscape and video (great find!) but I feel a little bit weird now. But happy. Don't know why. Thanks @MarcelVonpure Thank you too. I found it : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xo97ztKppIw I think she could be friend with one of my favourite french singer, Camille.

Ooooo. Nice work AJM. By the way, 'May' just do what? Whatever she pleases? Burn your socks? Make me toast?

Fractal mathematics?

@jonnyneale5 It's just alicemay as a username is always taken (and I like to consistently be me as I'm easily confused). As alicemay, I seem to pop up all over the world. I'm constantly getting emails from tutors in NZ about essays and workshops, and last year had a whole bunch of thank yous for invites to alicemay's 21st birthday party. Meanwhile, I'm apparently a member of NZ Fitness gym who is in interested in a new circuits class...

...while coincidentally in Texas I'm a fitness instructor looking for love on a dating site and who seems to have a particular penchant for mullets. At school my teachers used to think it was hilarious to speculate what Alice just may do next so, with spectacular lack of imagination, I opted for that. If you need more information I can happily rabbit on. Am quite good with socks, actually. Have never burnt them, and rarely lose just one in a washing machine. :)

@MarcelVonpure @MyBlueElephant Yes, that's the one @GetIntoZeChoppa mentioned (many thanks, kind sir, for both discoveries). Just... oooh.

@ythind @MrMcLeanJohn @revd76 Glad it got you in the same way!

"While coincidentally in Texas". Great name for a band. Stop showing off with your southern belle sock prowess. Some of us sacrifice one to every darned wash. Bastarding sock gods - they need placating.

7 years, 11 months ago

jonnyneale5

"Bastarding Sock Gods". Also a great name for a band.

7 years, 11 months ago

AlicejustMay

@jonnyneale5 'southern belle sock prowess' - first time I've heard anyone living in Glasgow described as having southern belle qualities. Ha. Anyway - personally, I'd drop the gerund and call the band Bastard Sock Gods. A brilliant idea, sir.

7 years, 11 months ago

jonnyneale5

Ahhh, whoops. I got lost there in your storytales for a moment. I thought you ACTUALLY are living in Texas (and looking for love!). Still Glasgow eh? Could there be two more disparate places? Glasgow Texas - the Wim Wenders film that got both lost and lost in translation. Gerund? At this hour? With your reputation? I had to look it up - not often I do that. Even less admit it. I'm going to try and casually drop it in conversation at the very first opportunity. :0)

jonnyneale5

I imagine everyone in Texas is looking for love. Glasgow? Drugs.

7 years, 11 months ago

AlicejustMay

@jonnyneale5 Indeed; the alicemays above are nothing to do with me - I just get emails meant for them sent to me quite frequently. And yes: Glasgow = drugs. I used to drive every week from the north west of England to Scotland and back; and what struck me were the gantry signs. In civilised Cheshire, there was a sign reading 'Pick up your litter - others do' (which, while not best worded, still gives you the gist of it). The first one I'd see outside Glasgow read: 'Don't take drugs and drive'.

7 years, 11 months ago

jonnyneale5

Brilliant. I'm going to get a photo of me taken toking a spliff in front of that. Well Alice May, may I say, I'm impressed with your most excellent command of English. In spite of the inherent Scottishness. Obviously.

7 years, 11 months ago

AlicejustMay

@jonnyneale5 Ah, but I'm not Scottish. Only been here a year. The best thing I saw just outside Glasgow city centre was an urban speed sign saying "20's plenty", and collapsed at the foot of it was a bloke with a can of Kestrel or similar in his hand.

Loved this - and wow to Handsfree! - thanks for the link @MyBlueElephant

7 years, 11 months ago

AlicejustMay

@stellakoto Still haven't had time to watch all of Handsfree, much to my frustration - have been sat here at my computer most of the day but haven't been able to give the performance my full attention. Gaah! Looking forward to it tomorrow... :)

Wow, this is absolutely amazing, even if it does make me feel slightly on edge! :)

7 years, 11 months ago

AlicejustMay

@abigail.deeks It's really out there, isn't it? Think I freaked the neighbours out a bit over the weekend, though!
