@Astromonkey What a star, as I believe you said upon posting her debut single. Have you ever watched any of the HarriesWorld social experiments on YouTube? Fascinating. The David Hoyle interviews are great too.
@Astromonkey The whole family is very 'special', as the Little Lady Fauntleroy docu alluded to. Saying "it's a social experiment" after negative behaviour in public. Not classy.
@alisonsghost She used to be known as James Harries and was a "child prodigy antique expert" in the late 80/90s. Eventually he disappeared only to emerge as Lauren, and ever since she has desperately tried to create a media career (along with the rest of her extremely odd family). There is lots of stuff on YouTube if you want to be both horrified and amazed....
@Astromonkey Oh god! I remember that horrible child (poor thing). Didn't he appear on the Antiques Roadshow, (as an 'ordinary' punter not an expert) ?? So she can't be as old as she looks, presumably. I know a real ex child prodigy and they're a very normal, lovely person! I always used to beat them in the science section of the trivia game machine in a local pub, which is a joke :-)
@alisonsghost She's 36 I think. I don't think she really was a child prodigy. There is a Keith Allen documentary on the whole family which is a bit mean but it does expose them as a bunch of people living in another reality . It's called Little Lady Fauntelroy.

@MotherFist Yes - the Lauren tied up in the boot of the car one is particularly "hilarious".

Is it worth being horrified and amazed or is it too car crash?

@alisonsghost Well I find her sort of fascinating - she's bizarre and eccentric but pretty harmless.
alisonsghost
I might have a look, then. Although Keith Allen isn't amazingly in touch with reality himself, always!
Astromonkey
@alisonsghost No, I've always found him to be a bit of an arse really.
