a personal ostrich encounter...in the 80's I went on a road trip with my weshie who was 60 at the time...I like back country roads best and we came upon a wild life safari drive park...pay to enter and pay for food it you want to feed the creatures...before we got to the rhinoceros with her baby and the giraffes we had to survive ATTACK OF THE HUNGRY OSTRICHES
our windows open an ostrich stuck its head in weshie's window to eat the food i had between my legs hitting its head on the steering wheel...weshie had heart problems already and was scream laughing...of course i took action and went straight for my camera and took some of my favorite pics...unfortunately i threw those away over ten years later but that's another story
we finished the drive then watched their bear show, she road a camel then i got to ride an elephant
we laughed so much on that three day road trip...fort worth texas to san antonio to corpus christi to clifton and back home
i had just arrived in texas a few days earlier from hawaii and when i got a job in the second day back i had three days off so i told weshie that i missed the beach already and wanted to go to corpus christi
no planning just change clothes and grab what you need and we were on the road with 30 minutes...that kind of sums up who i used to be in my former life
