“Yoko was playing Moonlight Sonata on the piano. She was classically trained. I said, ‘Can you play those chords backward?’ and wrote Because around them. The lyrics speak for themselves; they’re clear. No bullshit. No imagery, no obscure references.

I heard on the news that it's the anniversary of the Mohg Synthesizer. Well, what a rich vein that opened! I've chosen this Beatles track as one of the earliest uses of Moog & coz it goes with our summer. Oh, & coz it's a fantastic toon! :)

From the first "Please Please Me" album. This Shirelles song had been featured in The Fabs live shows for several years and was Ringo's first recorded lead vocals. As they knew the song so well, the band only took one take to record it for the album!! This live concert recording also features a nice little guitar solo from George.
We were both really pleased to hear that Paul has agreed to induct his old Beatles Brother into The Rock and Roll hall of Fame next month.
