“Released in the UK on "Beatles For Sale" album in 1964 and "Beatles VI" in the US a year later. Credited to Lennon/McCartney, but probably written predominantly by Paul and thought to be about his deteriorating relationship with actress Jane Asher. Features some great drumming from Ringo and a "Byrds" like jangly guitar from George, which apparently was recorded about 6 months before "Mr Tambourine Man" was released! We think this is possibly, one of the least covered songs ever written by John and Paul.”

Listening to Beatles for Sale a lot at the moment. Often overlooked but it's an intriguing LP, including this bit of proto-west coast 12 string jangle.
