Long Tall Sally (Live) by The Beatles

“Originally recorded by one of their R & R heroes Little Richard. It was first released by the band in the US in '64 on "The Beatles Second Album" and in the UK several months later on the 4 track EP "Long Tall Sally". Although only recorded during the sessions for "A Hard Day's Night", the band had been featuring the song in their shows since their very early days together. When they got round to recording it, they were so familiar with the song they did it in one, straight take!! This was filmed during their Australian tour in '64. Ringo had just rejoined the band, after being ill with tonsillitis. He'd been replaced by session drummer, Jimmy Nicol for the first five gigs of the tour.”
