...when i was but a skool yoot, i saw these some were in north london, they were all fall over drunk,,,and it was another world .....one of the best gigs ive ever seen,,,this is one of my all time favorita tracks, i think the lyrics have t be seen as a bit tongue in cheek...one of the best guitar intros ever for its simplicity, im gonna play this again
@Bukowski ...mate it was so what life should be about,,,for a memory to stick with me that long is amazing in itself,,,this post brought it all back, really was one of the best nights of my life, about 12 of us no one over 14 years old, right in the middle of rock mayhem, had to be said the atmosphere was carnival, the band were like your best pals , who just so happened could play a bit,,did not make it home for 2 days, cherished memorys....

First ever and best ever concert I saw was the Faces 1974 Glasgow Apollo £2.25 ticket.

Sorry meant to say what a tune.
Bukowski
@terryoneill67 Superb! And what a bargain.

I have to listen to more Faces!!
Niels_Footman
Best Rod Stewart song ever?
Bukowski
@Niels_Footman Personally I would go for this one, yes; but closely followed by 'Every Picture Tells A Story'.
abigail.deeks
@Niels_Footman @Bukowski 'In a Broken Dream' as Python Lee Jackson for me :)
Bukowski
@abigail.deeks Excellent choice. Sparkling form Abigail. xx
Niels_Footman

@Bukowski Maybe the best "Everybody gets a 2bar solo" ever! Of course, what do you expect from a band that demanded a fully stocked bar onstage? ;-)
Bukowski
@curtywyshart Rod and Ronnie did enjoy the occasional dry white sherry.
abigail.deeks
@Niels_Footman It's a must!

@Bukowski Thank you very much Paul x x

@Bukowski @abigail.deeks, ah, it comes back to me now. I'd heard that before but I had no idea what it was called. Thanks for the timely reminder...

As @BertrandRustles.

"The occasional dry white sherry". That may well be the understatement of the year!
Bukowski
@curtywyshart Perhaps a glass of Advocaat at Christmas if they are feeling frisky.
Bukowski
@kingofmen I'm so jealous. Sounds brilliant.
curtywyshart
Quite, sir. Quite right.
