Let's Loop is a mess. Prepare yourself.

Bukowski

@mondosalvo I had a feeling I wasn't going to like it.

adrian4acn

That's a cracking tune Bucky.

5 years, 5 months ago

kemiladashdot

@mondosalvo Ha! Thought it was just me:)

@kemiladashdot @Bukowski @mondosalvo It's very clunky and confused but it is improving though. And the more you use it the clearer it becomes. Please give it a chance Paul, it'd be great to see you over there. You may find this thread interesting reading as we've been making suggestions for changes to the site which they're totally up for and working on. http://www.letsloop.com/loop/9de29d5c03

@BertrandRustles @mondosalvo @Bukowski @kemiladashdot fair play to the loopers for trying but for me it just highlights how beautifully put together this place is ... I'm going to give the loopy thing a good go, though :)

BertrandRustles

@pez Couldn't agree more. In fact I told Han this the other day. It's only when you have to experience someone else trying something similar that you truly appreciate how perfectly simple this place is.

Bukowski

@pez @BertrandRustles I have a cunning plan. I'm going to get @adrian4acn to go onto letsloop and see how he gets on. If he survives he can guide me through it. Sort of an Indiana Jones type do.

Nice @Bukowski, sacrifice the prettiest. Like that 'i'm pretty sure the landmines are all gone, but take this pogo stick and check for me sonny' trick.

5 years, 5 months ago

Bukowski

@adrian4acn You are exactly right apart from the "prettiest" bit. Although; you on the front cover of 'Grazia'; I'd buy that.

I'm beach ready man meat.

@mondosalvo @kemiladashdot Yeh, I suppose it is a bit like being evicted out of your country home to find yourself sharing a squat with crack-heads.....oh well, at least we're all there together with a roof over our heads.....( and things MIGHT improve too...)

5 years, 5 months ago

debutch

@adrian4acn @Bukowski hahaha! I'm really pleased you two are giving it a try. With enough pressure from refugee jammers ( who will have taken over the place soon) I'm sure the owners will listen to us & make it more "ex-jammer" friendly

5 years, 5 months ago

debutch

@BertrandRustles I really applaud you Bertie. You're working hard to make LoopyToons work for us all :-) x

BertrandRustles

@debutch Dude, you know where I'm coming from, I just want to keep all this amazing musical input from you guys in my life. Don't want to lose a single one of you. It's purely selfish :)

Cranky

Loving the drums on this.

5 years, 5 months ago

KerryEJordan

If I can fathom it out anyone can. I'm having a few frustrations but we've put together a wish list which the people on the loops are trying hard to work through.

5 years, 5 months ago

Axol

@KerryEJordan good on you.

5 years, 5 months ago

Axol

Some brilliant jams this Friday. Impending doom has sharpened the minds I think. Great jam but then it always is with you.

5 years, 5 months ago

Bukowski

@Axol I have perfected a precise and scientific method of determining my TIMJ selection; put my iPod Classic on shuffle and wait until I go; 'Ooo, this is rather good'. Then I find that it's blocked so the fool proof 'persist and repeat until selection is made' kicks in.

5 years, 5 months ago

adrian4acn

So its a #DiceJam @Bukowski I can get behind that mule.

My current Loop survival technique is: follow Jammers; post loops; like loops; ignore all other features.

5 years, 5 months ago

tpdorsey

Checking out Cymbal as well. Not sure what to make of it yet.

mistyminded

Wow.. so impressed by all your music. sigh starting over soon, got so comfortable here

abigail.deeks

Yay! Glad to hear that you are going to give the loopy thing a go. It is much busier than here, the design is not pleasing to the eye or mind but as other jammers have mentioned above just want to keep us all together somewhere. As for your jam tis rather brilliant and completely new to me. Thanks for the intro x x

@Cranky @debutch @pez @BertrandRustles @kemiladashdot @adrian4acn @mondosalvo @KerryEJordan @Axol @adrian4acn @mistyminded @abigail.deeks Now there's a good piece of advice by @tpdorsey "My current Loop survival technique is: follow Jammers; post loops; like loops; ignore all other features." In the mean time Loopy Leader Rick is doing his best to graft LL into a TIMJ 2.0. BTW Rick's a very nice guy with excellent email manners, very helpful, not only to me but also to other Jammers so I hear

5 years, 5 months ago

dutchbeeblebrox

BTW, did I mention that for Loopy Land I've gone back to my first moniker dutchzaphod... oh well, just so you know. :)

@dutchbeeblebrox @Cranky @debutch @pez @BertrandRustles @kemiladashdot @adrian4acn @mondosalvo @KerryEJordan @Axol @adrian4acn @mistyminded @abigail.deeks @tpdorsey and please oh Lord PLEASE don't post 10 Loops a day. I just can't keep up and am having to unfollow anyone that goes crazy with posts. One of the things Rick is putting in place is a filter to enable us to only view users last Jams so that'll be a bit like here. I just love that you can only post one here so everyone really thinks

BertrandRustles

@dutchbeeblebrox @Cranky @debutch @pez @BertrandRustles @kemiladashdot @adrian4acn @mondosalvo @KerryEJordan @Axol @adrian4acn @mistyminded @abigail.deeks @tpdorsey so carefully about what they post. every post is a gem. That's my favourite thing about the Jams.

MadameZia

I'm not sure about the loopy thing either although I have been encouraging everyone to join... Don't knock it until you've tried it is all I'm prepared to say...

5 years, 5 months ago

dutchbeeblebrox

Yep, can't wait for Rick to put that filter in place. For now, I just take one look at the "frequent looper""and presto I scroll down until I spot a more relaxed looper...

5 years, 5 months ago

dutchbeeblebrox

@BertrandRustles And don't forget The Great Bukowski1 ;)

Also, there is a F/B page for X jammers: https://www.facebook.com/groups/229952510523950/ See you there! LLAP! I'm at the Loop under my same moniker as here.

I also applaud @BertrandRustles for his enthusiasm to keep the Scoobies together. LetsLoop is workable and again Bertie's efforts to get the debs to hammer into shape are admirable. I do find it slightly irksome though that the loopers have found a process the get round the corporate lock downs that have killed TIMJ. I would have hoped that faced with the obvious issues a proposal to update TIMJ but with accepted changes would be possible. As Bertie said having a free for all 'like fest' ......

5 years, 5 months ago

adrian4acn

...rather than a curated because you care environment is so preferable. Would the Jam Devs comment on this?

5 years, 5 months ago

BertrandRustles

@adrian4acn I honestly think it's a done deal for Han and Mat. They have new lives and pretty serious careers now. I just don't see that there's anything in it for them. I agree though, it is irritating that the Loops have managed a work around where TIMJ never could.
