@Axol Well, it's 'Floyd', Jim, but not as we know it... Pretentious (mois?) on the starboard bow, Jim... Why oh why did I not like Waters & Co's stuff more? I feel guilty, as though I should have. They do say that a tiara is never as special when its biggest diamond has been lost.
@Axol@leejohnson I think Pink Floyd's music AND history of the band are valuable insight into human mind and psychology. And that is a "diamond" - you can listen to their albums over and over and find something new and different every time - just like you see different colours/lights depending on how you position the diamond in relation to the source of the light :)
In Nick Masons' autobiography, he says that during the recording of this album Sydney appeared out of nowhere. No one recognized him at first, Syd having shaved his head and gain a goodly amount of weight. No one seems to remember which tune they were working on. When they had finished listening to the playback, someone asked,"Should we give it another listen?"-Sydney said,"Why bother? We've already heard it once." Somewhere the madcap still laughs...
makes me want to watch the flick STILL CRAZY again which has a fictional syd in it and a pretty good fictional band STRANGE FRUIT or better yet, PINK FLOYD AT POMPEII
@BarneyRubble doesn't always have to be alphabetical...if you have seen the classic cusak HIGH FIDELITY flick, which i felt was dadgum near based on one era of my life, he would rearrange his vinyl with different themes
@Shaka Ha ha! Funny you should mention that - when I shared a flat with a couple of guys who were into their music too, we used to combine all our vinyl and file in order of bass player (or whatever we felt was in vogue that month) - ah, the wasted time! lol

Twenty five minutes just gives you so much more time to explore the themes of a song. Not sure my MTV-addled mind can take it.

@brejep 25 minutes of your life well spent, say I.
