Such a consistently great band. Deserved to be massive, but in a way I'm glad they weren't.

@AndyWilkinson I always thought that they were really successful over in the UK, but not so much anywhere else. From my experience (over in the U.S.), "Dear God" still gets pretty good airplay on alternative/college radio and the local record shop carries the new reissues, but that's pretty much it. I do think they deserve to be included in the pantheon of great 80s bands, though.

@Enish They were quite successful in the UK with a few Top 20 singles, but were never as big as they should have been. Those that like them, really loved them. I don't think they made a bad album throughout their career (including the Dukes of Stratosfear albums).

@armmoonin XTC is a great pop/new-wave group from the late 70s/early 80s, and one that deserves a lot more recognition. The rest of the album this song is from, Oranges and Lemons, is a good starting point if you want to look into them more.
