It's so hard to choose but some days I feel like this is my favourite Magnetic Fields song. Best chorus ever?
Presently, I concur with everything you just said. Also, I think it may be the best example of the "blasé vocals/heartbreakingly sincere lyrics/effervescently joyful melody" triumvirate that I feel defines their music.

They were a bit more inclined to try and break your heart in the old days, and I sometimes miss that.
@thesunneversets I think you've hit upon some truth there. Perhaps that's why my most fave songs of theirs are from the early-to-mid-90s.
