The sad thing is that he only recorded a handful of tracks, and no-one knows anything about his life - where he was born, or where or how he died (he would have been born about 1908) - a more obscure figure even than Robert Johnson.

@guyhamilton552 I'm fascinated with this guy as well. He was obviously very influential to Muddy and many others. I wonder how many guys like him never got recorded.

I wonder if a historian hasn't tried to check up on any of that, maybe try to find someone in Chicago that knew him in the 60's - 70's that might still be around or possibly a family member that might know something.
