The style was driven by the huge competition he faced within his genre of music. There were so many fine soul voices around that time, and it took some doing, being a bit different and rising above the rest. Then Marvin Gaye comes along and blows everyone out of the water, by voice and emotion alone! Arthur was a massive talent himself though.

Love Arthur's style on stage, seems as he's having great fun! Those skinny little legs of his reminds me of mine.
