1958 : Chuck Berry releases "Johnny B. Goode." The song is named after his piano player (Johnnie Johnson) and the street where he grew up (Goode Avenue).
There are enough good covers of this tune to have a #JohnnyBGoode week
Johnny Winter played this at the Woodstock festival in 1969. Jimi Hendrix, Judas Priest and The Beatles are just a few more. One of my favorite covers is on the Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush live album
