Did you ever listen William Shatner's weird but palatable version? Not as good as Elton's of course. But... different. And Elton singing about missing his wife! Chuckle! But this is a classic. He really strokes that piano. And it fits his voice! And the tune, beat, rhythm, words, well, to a child of the '60's it speaks to me. THANKS!
