I met Dizzy at Teesside Airport in 1978 with my Dad and he signed a the day's newspaper for me. I was only 10 and didn't know who he was, but i remember being amazed by his puffa cheeks and super friendly smile.   5

<3 this song so much, it just made it into the revised version of my novel--although I had to change the words to "Soup Noodles" instead (copyright issues): A BOP-BEBOP—BOP-BEBOP squeals from a distant trumpet. Why, Meeshtar recognizes that beat and oh, my! This isn't any old jazz song. No, indeed! This is, “Soup Noodles," which happens to be Meeshtar's second most favorite jazz song ever! He BOP-BEBOP—BOP-BEBOPS his head. He TAP-DEETAP—TAP-DEETAPS his claws. The be-bopping trumpet floods Meeshtar's soul until it overflows down his legs. He jives with the notes and sings, “Soup NOO-dles—soup NOO-dles!”   1

Possibly jammed before, possibly jammed again. The greatest.
