Ibeyi brilliant at their packed-out show in Islington last night. Lisa (who has the best hair in the universe by the way): The next song is about Oya, the goddess who dances on the graves... Naomi (wagging an admonitory finger at audience): But she is not evil! She *protects*.   3

Ibeyi, are 19-year-old French-Cuban twin sisters Naomi and Lisa-Kainde Diaz, the duo’s name is pronounced ee-bey-ee. The track is produced by XL founder Richard Russell, “Oya” is Ibeyi’s first piece of music for XL Recordings. The track is sparse and otherworldly with Lisa laying down some gorgeous vocals while Naomi taps out a textured drum pattern.
