Some people knock Phil Collins, but god that's a stunning bit of drumming! :)

People who knock Phil Collins are daft. One of the greatest drummers Britain has ever produced. There are passages on Genesis tracks which have the most complex drumming I've ever heard yet PC makes them seem utterly effortless. Such a natural. A pleasure to hear anytime. And this is some Jam fella. Top stuff.

Phil Collins is a brilliant drummer. I saw him once drumming with Brand X at a tiny little venue. He was amazing.

Nothing to knock here at all. Possibly my favourite album, ever and this track is utter genius...oh that line is just the bolox. ain't it? I rushed down from school at age 14 to buy this album. Remember it as if it was yesterday and it brings a football sized lump to my throat just recalling the whole experience. Thank you Sir Phylsta'...you just made an old proggists' night...

I love PG era Genesis - just a wonderful track. Thanks for jamming!

@BertrandRustles, @21schizoid, @ErnieBilko, @pauseliveaction. Thanks all, with special thanks for that link Sue. I think people knock PC for some of his later commercial work, & personally, I disliked the ill fitting 'more fool me' on S.E.b t P., but forgive him for the beautiful 'For absent friends' on Nursery Cryme. https://youtu.be/Z_FPEpdiRKs I just tried singing along with this, nearly bust me larynx! Lol. :) @newley, PG era Genesis was best but they did some very fine work later too.

Y'know what Phylsta'...I think people in this angry little island of ours, just like knocking people...for the sheer hell of it...
