Interesting and I love CCR. John is playing a casino just 20 minutes down the highway this summer and I'm considering going to that show. It would be a no brainer, but I want to see how he sounds these days first.
@shiningsun2k I have read no less than 45 band name origin stories so far...and it is always so interesting how many sucky names were "first" perhaps thats why some groups didn't make it - they did not have the sense to change their name...

@stereoGrover --same here. I appreciated the CCR song (and CCR in general), but wasn't a huge fan of CCR or this track. But I _was_ a huge fan a of the Minutemen, and D Boon's love of CCR gave me a new appreciation. p.s. 3 Way Tie (for Last) is a great E.P.

Haha and I forgot about the unfortunate Golliwogs name before CCR. Kind of like how Mudcrutch became Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
