brings back great memories of my dad that kicked the bucket in '99 on new years day...he loved roy's voice
It doesn't get any better than this.
Unfortunately I'm never able to hear this without thinking of Dean Stockwell lip-synching his way through it to disturbing/surreal effect in "Blue Velvet".
@rocknrollisking I'm in the same boat as you. Can never unsee that moment. :)
@Shaka My dad was thrilled when I discovered Roy Orbison, too. He has also passed, so these musical memories allow me to still feel close.
@kzone8 @rocknrollisking @edlweiss1 The Dean Stockwell thing is rough. "It's Over" is my absolute favorite. Palate cleanser? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9JArvEJ64M
@ShortCurator "It's Over" - Lovely.
as indecisive of a person as i am, i can without doubt say this is one of the best songs ever written
