I'm on a "Unsung Heroes" roll. Moving on from Stephen Duffy here's Ian McNabb with the Icicle Works. Another guy with one big hit who largely works below the populist radar. (I may turn this into a trilogy with Edwyn Collins.)

Another shuffle, another gem.
The Icicle Works...... what can I say... dropped off my radar for 20 years and then suddenly BANG! Thank you Spotify, and no thanks to the crap mainstream radio station playlists in the UK. It was then a choice between Hollow Horse and this one. The opening chaos chord and the mental guitar breaks just edged it. Brilliant and a musical reflection of an attitude I would like to adopt in 2015... sort of Fuck it, lets smash something!
