Sandy strikes a blow
With Southern Alberta pretty much washed away by floods of biblical proportions, the beer-dark North Saskatchewan is now taking on a surly muddy hue and rising rapidly--trees, debris and anything floatable heading towards Hudson Bay. City crews are blocking off the river road three blocks down from here and sandbag trucks are queuing up. I'm taking comfort in the wise words of Charley Patton, who saw his share of inundations ...
