30 yrs ago today, The Boss' "Born in the USA" replaced Prince at the #1 spot. As good a reason as any for a bit of Springsteen today!

Going away for almost a month now, and won't be online much. But this song is APT and USA here I come...
Fascinated to find this very different version of Springsteen's most iconic anthem. The slide guitar and blues variation makes it much more plaintive than the original, and somehow even more quintessentially American in sound. This man is a wonder. Makes me very proud to have ties to Jersey!
