(early 1978, from album 'die Mensch-Maschine') Past the 'Dreamweaver' intro, this song eases off the soprano-synth reverb without leaving it entirely. The 1-second delay makes the tone unsurprisingly cleaner - the effect is pretty similar to a high woodwind. The meat of this song is the distorted baritone arpeggios, clipped percussion hits (especially the pik-pok bass). The mood is 'ijirashii:' satisfaction at seeing an admirable person overcome an obstacle. As is usual with Kraftwerk, one has the feeling that one is listening to a dual DJ set by JM Jarre and Derrick May.   10
