Events dear boy. Since my last post, Planet Mad has sunk to ever lower depths. Now I'm not wise enough to know all the whys & wherefores regarding political or religious strife, but I do know killing someone in cold blood for having an opposing, yes even insulting viewpoint, is not an answer to perceived problems & never could be. So, I retreat...to music & in this case, another of my loves, art. It was perhaps serendipitous, that someone on my Twitter feed should post this particular track. The link to my beloved prog, is of course all present & correct, thanks to the sterling work in that genre, of Mr Wilson. However, the linkage to the utterly spellbinding accompanying animation, drives the whole sensory experience to an intensity that would defy the strongest soul not to be affected. The irony of my adoration for music & art, is that I am bereft of talent in both. However, if I could have produced either element here, I would be beyond proud. Please watch, listen & be moved...   30

Steven Wilson, best known as the founder, lead guitarist, singer and songwriter of the progressive rock band Porcupine Tree. Just love that band, but on his own he's doing fine too. Just listen (and watch) this song. You won't regret it, so beautiful!   6

I'm seeing Steven Wilson tonight, and this somber ballad is stuck in my head. The video is gorgeous too.
