“This album is indescribably beautiful (unless beautiful is a suitable description...) and I just adore and completely identify with this song. This record reaches the heights of Bill Callahans Dream River. Just wonderful, lyrical, crushing emotion.”

Song of the Year. And probably a few future years. Greets to the beautiful Jammee Community around the world. Music is the best. HNY, see you on the flip.   9

I'd got a little bored of Mark Kozelek's music over the past few years, but Benji is a brilliant album.   1

Listening to 'Benji' was probably my first true exposure to Sun Kil Moon. At first I wasn't sure what to think of his stream of consciousness lyrical style. On my first brush, I found it hard to really call it 'song' writing. It was more like a beat poet setting his random thoughts to the strum of a guitar. As I listened further, I realized the thoughts were actually far from random. They are calculated, and frequently found poignancy that few musicians can even dream of. It's a bizarre cocktail, but it comes together better than it has any right to. This is songwriting that requires your attention or you'll completely miss it.   1
