I watched so much of their stuff on YT I'm now limp with viewing. Ironic as this was meant to be Beat The Clock. Some great comments on there ranging from 'why would Ron want to sabotage his own band and career by looking like that' to
'O That Russell guy could/should have been the biggest rocker stud in the world if he'd only just ....I don't know.....grasped it.....He was more Robert Plant than Robert Plant ever was...yet he was too tight...not loose enough to pull it off, its a shame'
@lucathequietone Baudelaire sunk in after I stopped thinking Maelfleur beads and tapestries but Pinky and The Brain has left me floundering :) Answer on a postcard, please, as they used to say...Know what you mean about being tired :(
@DavidShepherd No, I don't think they are! But then it would rankle being beaten to no 1 by a group with almost alien hats...I think they were quite nice about it, considering. What struck me as funny, was that both 'This Town...' and 'Sugar Baby Love' both featured men with high voices, as if Britain was thirsty for falsetto :)
If I may interject - 'Pinky and the Brain' is a 'grown-up' cartoon which whilst I watched in my 'grown-up' years - I will not allow my daughter to watch (yet)
I think my Something For The Girl With Everything video was off of TotP - it certainly wasn't a live recording. Love this though! The first song is BC from the Propaganda album, the same as Something For..., but I expect you knew that :-)
@Rocklobster No, of course I didn't. I didn't even notice that 'Something For The Girl With Everything' wasn't on Kimono My House! I'm not entirely sure the audience did either :) It's worth having a look at part one of this, though, because of who seems to be introducing it plus a really great performance. It took me most of the afternoon to get out of their maze on YT.
