Overactive Imagination by Death

antonyjohnston’s jam on 10 Sep ’12 and then once after that (See all)

“Another classic from 1993. Like Entombed, Death took a lot of heat for this album, where they slowed down (some parts of) their music, sang about social problems, and pretty much defied traditional death metal tropes (of which they were themselves a pioneer) to invent "progressive death", a genre now firmly established in the metal canon. Classic stuff. RIP, Chuck.”
