An unexpectedly amazing chorus makes this song worth two minutes of your day. Hey hey it's the Monkees: 1
When the Monkees finally took control of their own music, Mike Nesmith created this ahead-of-its-time country-rock classic.
was gonna post this anyway, then TIMJ suggested it to me as well! Love Daveys OTT percussion...
One of my favorite facts about the Monkees, they play the wrong instruments on the show. Davy Jones was the best drummer. Miky Dolenz was the guitar player. Michael Nesmith could have been the bass player. Tork, keyboards or piano (but really talented guy that can play about anything) http://www.guitarworld.com/interview-michael-nesmith-micky-dolenz-and-peter-tork-talk-monkees-summer-tour-headquarters-and-what-they-learned-jimi-hendrix 1
Good old mike nesmith
