Last June I flew to Oakland, grabbed a rental, drove down to LA and met up at the Troubadour with a friend whom I hadn't seen for nigh 10 years. She'd never seen Austra before, so I wasn't sure how she'd react. After they played the Beat and the Pulse she turned to me and said "this was awesome!" Made the whole trip worthwhile... :)
Very interesting electro band. Thanks for a new sound Christine. The Canadians certainly punch above their weight with innovative and high grade musicians.
This is new to me. Both song and artist. And it is a great one to send me off to work. Thanks for this. Bummer about the disappointing outcome of the split-up though. :/
@cbinseoul@itskerryc@alisonsghost Thank you for all the lovely comments, I think you will really like them. Her voice has a Siouxsie Sioux type quality, she is a classically opera trained singer! There album Home out in 2013, has just the three original members, and is really good.
