That's incredible! I thought EXACTLY the same for a while! ( except for the word, 'mellow', which I couldn't make out at all. When I first got the album, there was no lyric sheet with my copy and when a friend pointed out the correct lyrics, I felt VERY disappointed and I defiantly continued to sing it 'my' way ( or 'our' way ) ever since!
I think it qualifies, too...Well I AM biased. ...As for 'mellow' thighs..that's a tough one. Could mean anything. ...Oh, let's just say it means 'soft' Makes sense, doesn't it? :)
Yikes, I thought the lyrics went "Ah lay it on me man, cause a (.....not sure of lyric....) California city." I now discover it's "Ah don't lean on me man, cause you can't afford the ticket".......I'll get my coat......

@decarter I think I will stick with singing it "our" way.. :) until I find out what mellow thighs are at least..

I always thought it was "fat". As for "mellow thighed"... as @Decarter, "pleasantly smooth or soft" says the Dictionary, which makes sense.
