She does have a very distinctive vocal style I can see why her replacement would alter the bands overall sound quite considerably.

One of my all-time favorite songs and I agree that although they were still good, it wasn't the same without Kelli. What a voice. Are you familiar with IAMX, Chris Corner's project? I stumbled upon it a couple of years ago -- maybe on here -- and didn't know anything about it until I then looked it up. It's pretty good stuff.

Thanks to you, I couldn't get it out of my head on my way to work, which prompted me to fire up my 1997 playlist on Spotify, which I've been enjoying all morning. For some reason, I have very fond and vivid memories of the music I was into on the radio specifically during the first half of 1997. The Prodigy "Breathe", Sneaker Pimps, Duncan Sheik, Matthew Sweet, Smashing Pumpkins "Eye", White Town "Your Woman", Jamiroquai....... what a great time. And The Saint soundtrack is still a great album!

yeah soundtracks with elecetronic music at the time were great! the saint, the jackal, (friggin') lost in space, trainspotting (both discs) - in some cases, like the jackal remake, the soundtrack was far btter than the film

@decarter @Sid_Bonkers especially when Chris Corner and one other gentleman took over lead vocals. It changed the whole landscape of the band.

@clickysounds Oh, quick go grab it, dust it off and lets schedule a playdate. I love lego's.....okay a bit odd I know... but overworked, just starting my first cup of joe, so anything I say may not be held against me. That said, I do love lego's....

@juepucta Lost in Space.... :) with a couple of those the soundtracks were much better. Speaking of soundtracks, I went to see Guardians of the Galaxy last night, now that was a soundtrack...I got in late last night, but I have to check out what is on the CD. Hopefully they didn't put mediocre songs on it and leave off the good ones off. A couple of movie soundtracks have done that lately.

@shiningsun2k No, haven't run into that (or remember running into IAMX) will have to check it out, thank you! The Saint was one of those soundtracks, so much better than the movie. I went to see Guardians of the Galaxy last night, great movie but incredible soundtrack. I now have to run over to spotify and find your list... I need to listen to that one.....

YES! Haha I liked The Saint when I saw it in the theater, but I watched it again a couple years ago and it was a little heartbreaking how much worse it was than I remembered. And I'm going to see Guardians for the second time this weekend. Talk about a perfectly fitting soundtrack. :D

@christineb a guardians playlist that mirrors the cassette http://open.spotify.com/user/122775324/playlist/7pY62wjrNDRPjbWfjJpQ9A the soundtrack in GotG is amazing, might be that my mom could've made that mix but it definitely worked and lower my defenses so that Groot could hit me right in the feels
