Someone pointed out to me that Exile in Guyville and Rid of Me came out on the same day, 20 years ago (4 May 1993). Both radical, earth-shattering albums, but looking back, Rid of Me wins...
Fabulous talent. Never made a bad album. Looking forward to seeing what she does next. Following "Let England Shake" is a tall order, but I've no doubt that Polly will manage it.
@thisismymistake@thisismymistake Rid of me is great. Her second album. Favourite track off that?
There was a comedy of the same title made two years ago...
@corcorankelly extremely formative artist for me. Perhaps "The" formative artist. But that is more a reflection of my age than taste, though of all my music from that era, she has stuck like glue.
@corcorankelly impossible question sir. I'd have to go back and listen to them all again, and even though i'd probably pick something different every time.

Totally awesome! Some extra layers in the sound on this version too, some guitars almost sounding like flutes!

The whole "rid of me" album is so good, hard to pick one. I agree with glimmer9, probably "Rub it till it bleeds", "Legs" close second

@corcorankelly Hard to pick a favourite album, perhaps Rid Of Me. My fave track is 'You Said Something' - the sound of someone completely in love.
