@Bukowski damn right. Looking back at those three albums 'Swordfishtrombones', 'Rain Dogs' and 'Franks's Wild Years' it's easy to forget just how subversive and 'out there' they sounded in the 1980s.
@Bukowski quite possibly my favourite live album. A close call with Little Feat's Waiting for Columbus and Bowie's David Live. Fabulous Jam @d0minic, thanks.
@BertrandRustles@timmytherube@Bukowski not heard 'Nighthawks' I'm sorry to say but will definitely give it a listen. 'Bone Machine' is a great album, working with Primus (at that time) was an inspired decision and must have served as a great introduction for the Alt-Rockers of the early 90s.

Superb choice from what is, for me, THE underrated Tom Waits album.

@d0minic ...and how 'out there' they still sound. For me the most 'out there' Waits album is 'Bone Machine'.

Quick question; what do you think of 'Nighthawks At The Diner'?

@BertrandRustles Ooo, well in that case I must check how much money I have in my Piggy Bank. Thank you.

@Bukowski Nighthawks is the best album, in my opinion, of Tom's early 'bar-fly poet' career.
Bukowski
@timmytherube Thank you. I have heard such conflicting opinions about the album; I feel a purchase coming on.
