I'm a huge Toro Y Moi fan, for years... But, honestly, I didn't think this album was his best output. Not sure what I'm missing to feel this was his least appealing collection to date.
For me, Toro has always been a little hit/miss | love/hate. Each album has had about 3 songs that have kept me interested: My Touch ('09) [Such Bad Handling, Bend Your Body, Existance Music], Causers Of This ('10) [Blessa, Talamak, Low Shoulders], Freaking Out [EP] ('11) [Saturday Love, I Can Get Love], Underneath The Pine ('11) [New Beat, Go With You, Still Sound], June 2009 ('12) [Best Around, Girl Problems, Drive South], Anything In Return ('13) [Harm In Charge, Say That, Rose Quartz] &
What For? ('15) [Buffalo, Empty Nesters, Lilly] plus many individual tracks [Left Alone At Night, Leave Everywhere, 109, Slough, Campo, Come Alive (Feat. Chromeo). I've deleted all but these songs from my iTunes and made a playlist that has become Toro for me. If pressed, Anything In Return ('13) is may favorite album as a whole - most would probably say Causers Of This ('10) as it helped define the Chillwave genre. Hope this helps.
@darcysmith526 Sorry - forgot to reply so you'd know I responded. Have fun exploring. Chaz has certainly pressed boundaries and morphed over the 5-6 years he's been on the scene - he's been pretty fearless, actually. PS: He's/they're pretty amazing live as well...

@PlopPlop I'm new to Chaz, perhaps I'll have to check out some of his older stuff, which album do you suggest?

@PlopPlop thanks for that! Much appreciated. As for seeing him live, I doubt he'd come to Australia haha
