Never really been a fan of this band (I know) but always liked this album. And this track is a beauty.
I hear I might get to see them at Glastonbury this year...
@thesunneversets Ah, you're going then!
Iconic. Wonderful. Surely one of the finest rock albums in anyone's collection...
Am I too harsh if I think people should be imprisoned if they think this song is called "Teenage Wasteland?"
@kzone8 LOL But seriously, give'm a break. Let's focus on the fact that they too were captured by this truly epic piece of work and let them have their fun as they sing those words regardless of the fact that they mistakenly hold it to be the title of this magnificent song... :)
one of the best songs ever.superb.
An incredible melody! And I had never heard of it till a certain TV show used part of it. Then I went looking for the whole thing. Great song. Good taste. Great jam.
@PeteLaberge That show being 'House'? :)
@dutchbeeblebrox CSI NY!
@PeteLaberge Ah! This one's pretty good too. House! https://youtu.be/7oGvyTUrDTs
@dutchbeeblebrox The corporate Nit Wits blocked it. Are they unawares that House played in Canada and made them Millions? I used to watch, then they re-booted the show losing all the old cast members, and I lost interest. Worse, I joined F/B, Twitter, and My Jam. WHO has time for TV??????
Not your fault? Maybe you can find another link? Take Care.
@PeteLaberge When will they learn that their actions are not alone childish but also counterproductive. Free publicity is not something to discard this easily... Oh well, here's another one. https://youtu.be/Fav-dBAiORI
@dutchbeeblebrox —quite frankly, I’ve never been a huge fan of The Who, but they sure have had the imagination and the ‘honesty’ element so many bands have miserably lacked. A great jam, thanks!
THE DRUMMING! Moon was a magnificent monster.
@BertrandRustles In 1971 the band went on tour, and "Baba O' Riley" and "Won't Get Fooled Again" became live favourites. In Late November they started the US leg where Robert Hilburn of the Los Angeles Times described the Who as "the Greatest Show on Earth". The tour was slightly disrupted at the Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on 12 December when Moon passed out over his kit after overdosing on brandy and barbiturates. He recovered and completed the gig, playing to his usual strength.
@dutchbeeblebrox Haha, I remember reading about that. Crazy dude.
My fave Who track, sans doubt
Always a fav
Did not recognise it at the beginning but my son was a big fan of the who.
@june_murray Your son has great taste! :)
But hey, anyone who jams the Kinks is alright in my book! :)
@dutchbeeblebrox That one would not work, either, but after some Youtube searching (Um, maybe 2 whole minutes?) I found a working one. Phoey on them! These companies are silly. Instead of making me (and others) happy, and getting good PR, they blew it. But of course, we went around them. As my sister says on the farm: " When you can't go straight through, go the gate around!" We did! Take Care & THANKS!
@dutchbeeblebrox By the way! It was very cool! I seem to do what House did often.... I make pretend play instruments using spoons, books, strumming fingers, etc. When alone, I sing. When I sing to others, they call that torture!
@dutchbeeblebrox That's what My Jam is for: ROFLing! Or, at least, facing the music, and dancing. (Ye dinna want to see that. 'Tis terrifying, and scares crows away.)
What a great song! Still so fresh...
From one of my fave albums of all time.
@lah_ann :) Odd though, the 7 days for this jam have expired and it's still showing The Who... Oh well, it's not a bad song. LOL
