@justinedulhaust You ain't wrong there. BTW, I was in two minds whether or not to post 'My Number'. EMI refused also refused to let me post that YouTube video! Maybe with the allowance of Vimeo clips my choices will be easier to put on TIMJ.
@HappyZebra It depends how you define "listening to". I listen to all of them but not all of them I listen to right to the end. It depends on how much time I have, whether I've heard it before, wheather I've heard it recently, what mood I am in and lots of other parameters. But I do make a point of not just clicking without listening! Also, in that way I can warn jammers whether their jams are playable in my region, whether they have the right song or, whether there are other things going wrong.
Dammit. I've been blowing off The Foals 'cause I'd heard too much about them and that tends to turn me off until the hype dies down...but this is AWESOME.
I seriously like everything about this song and it's quite a bit heavier than I thought this band would be. Are they usually this heavy or is it an exception?
@HappyZebra Maybe you've seen my current 2012 top1001. It sort of shows my extensive, broad if you like, taste in music. It partly explains the vast amount of likes... http://nopaste.nl/VXBhOCmx2k
@shiningsun2k From their previous album the two more well known songs 'Miami' and especially 'Spanish Sahara' are probably much too "soft" for your taste (but I might be wrong, listen for yourself). At the time (2010) I sort of categorized them in the Two Door Cinema Club area, although there's still acres of space between the two of them! Their other new song 'My number' is a bit less heavy (but not much), but I like both songs very much and I'm anxiously awaiting the new album (early 2013)
I'll check all of the above out later when I have time. I listen to plenty of very mellow music; how much I like it just depends on my mood and expectations at the time. I figured Foals would be just another cookie cutter band in the growing sea of indie rock. I love it when an artist shatters any foregone conclusions I might have. Like when I found out The Damned Things, a good times bluesy hard rock side project of a couple Anthrax members, also features members of Fall Out Boy.
@dutchzaphod I didn't want to be mean, it was just a joke but ok, it might've sounded differently. Sorry, didn't mean to insult you! I was just impressed :) yes, I've seen your list :) you know a looot of songs!
@HappyZebra No worries. In fact, I was surprised you even thought I had taken it the wrong way. i genuinely believed it to be just an inquisitive question to which I responded to the best of my knowledge. :)
Hey Dutch, leuk dat je langs kwam :-) Ken Foals helemaal niet maar wat ik er zo van hoor is zeker niet slecht, zo doe ik ook eens wat nieuwe muziekinspiratie op :-)
Thank you for following me.. which allowed me to follow you back and hear Inhaler. Good video. Can't wait for their album. You can follow me on twitter.

Cool. I'm guessing the PARENTAL ADVISORY EXPLICIT CONTENT warning was all to do with that one pair of boobs, eh. Sigh.

I'm not expecting big things from this record. The chorus on this is okay, mind.
