@edclarke Tom Waits - 'Rain Dogs', The Stone Roses - 'The Stone Roses' and R.E.M. - 'Murmur'. p.s. for some reason I never associate Joy Division with the 80s, which is made more bizarre given that they are my all time favourite band!!
@edclarke@Bukowski I associate New Order with the 80s too - it wasn't until I was aware of them that I even heard of Joy Division; so thanks, all you New Order obsessive lads in 6th form back in the day!

Bukowski
Classic album, best album of the 80s (?)

@Bukowski One of them for sure. Born in the USA(Bruce) and Closer(Joy Division) would join it for me.

@Bukowski Didn't Daydream Nation come out in the 80's? If so, there's your best album. (This is coming from a closet Prince fan, too!) :)

@Bukowski I'd second The Queen Is Dead.

@Bukowski All good shouts. Ha yeah I know what you mean, I associate New Order with the 80's which is right as they were formed late 1980.

Thanks to jams like these, I've become a fan of The Smiths.
