RIP Lou.. in all the VU/Lou music getting played last week this (unfamiliar to me) track jumped out. Hear so much later stuff in it. Thanks for all the tunes.   2

I'm late on this I know, but I've been away - I was in Venice when I heard the news of Lou's death. Twice earlier on that day, before I heard the news, I had been reminded of his work - once when I caught faint wisps of Femme Fatale drifting from an apartment window, and secondly when I saw the sign for one of the Biennale exhibits subtitle White Light White Heat. Like many, I came to Reed's work via the Velvet Underground when I was in my late teens. The first two albums were obligatory listening and they were played obsessively. The third album I warmed to later, partly because it was much more reflective and also it was difficult to source in Portsmouth in the mid 80s. I did however have a copy of the excellent VU LIve 1969 double, and this I think is a really great version of What Goes On. #LouReed   3
