I was into psychedelic music as a teenager but this was so different. It had a hard edge to it almost like metal music . It had everyone pounding their hands on everything like we were drummers. Of course the first version we heard was the much shorter single but we went out and bought the album and it was 17 minutes of heaven. I'll bet the local DJ's got sick of us all calling the request lines to try & convince them to play the longer version. lol Looking back I think this was a one hit wonder. The single was briefly on the charts ( 30 on the Billboard Top 40 ) but the album was in the top 10 for months. I don't remember anything else they ever did. I had a terrible time finding one I could post here so I hope it plays   35
