Thanks for the extra link. Love me some Mastodon, but I've yet to pick up and listen to the new album. They put on a great show too, so see them live if you get a chance and haven't already. Haha I do like his description of the new album. I gotta get on it.
@shiningsun2k — well, yeah, I’d really love to go and see them live, especially that, at the moment, they’re touring around the UK (yesterday, they did a gig in Manchester, today in Newcastle, and tomorrow in Glasgow, so it doesn't get eny closer to Edinburgh) but sadly, my little boy’s infection dragged from the nursery, among other things, does not leave me much choice. And if you’ve liked the two previous albums, there’s a good chance you’ll really like this one too.
I followed the same path with Mastodon as you @homosporocarpus starting to enjoy them with 'Crack the Skye'. I have seen them three or four times in Australia, once with Slayer many many years ago when I wasn't into them as much, after that their performances have been simple but enjoyable for me.
