Evan Dando often plays in a tiny venue in Newcastle (The Cluny) - I think his wife is from Northumberland somewhere. played all of 'Shame About Ray' by himself a couple years ago - good gig, but it was like a rugby club sing-a-long - so many men of a certain age were there and just couldn't stop themselves from joining in.
