Saw him perform this at Hammersmith not long after she flounced and Major was PM. It was called 'Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead' by now, and there were some new lyrics. (From memory) "Along with that glove-puppet she left in her place/The whimpering chump with the simpering face". "Kicking the Royal cuckoos out of the nest/And placing the Queen Mother under arrest". There was quite a bit of dissent coming from the stalls, and before you knew it the Costello guitar was off and words were exchanged.
