@mloup nah ,,he will be there come xmas......whats interesting is we both said they were looking wrong before the season started , when the bookies were making them joint fav with city,
@kingofmen I dunno - Roman won't fancy finishing outside the top 6. It all looks wrong from top to bottom - late preseason, bad buys (Falcao and the Senegal giant on DD that Fulham rejected being worst of many), keeping Mikel and Ramires, not dropping poorly performing players, not promoting the best youth players in England (they have at least 12-15). The argument with Doc Eva is small potatoes compared with the rest. Above all, he looks clueless
@mloup ye gods man,,,,what have we done to warrant being the new clough and taylor....my thoughts were more that we are not easily swayed by media opinions of the ''game'' and trust our own judgment, and we have been pretty much on it since pre word cup, no one was having it here with the germany will win it argument, it seemed to me that the variables were out weighed by the germans prep and performance , again lot of fans take to much notice of the media
@kingofmen Was only joking re Clough and Taylor! The other puzzle is Arsenal - yet again, with a weight of expectation, they are coming up short (0-0 at home to Liverpool looks a worse result every passing week). City will be champions by default by February I think, as no other team is even close to half decent to give them a run
@mloup ,,,,JM is going to have ride out, and come to terms with the fact that those players that have been staunch thus far have lost their lustre, and start to drop a few , as his management style is is the open mouthed exclamation when he wants to signal discontent or amazement that the media don't get his point , he has now to develop a new modus for delivering his intensity, and if not JM then who, united have been burnt badly and look second rate by making bad management appointments
@kingofmen Klopp is out there, kicking his heels. He'd be the best bet. It's way too early for Gary Monk. Or Conte from Italy. You need a big character to deal with Mr A upstairs. Koeman from Soton might be worth a good putside bet, not least as he is good with youngsters. There, that's my tenner!
@mloup ,,,im gonna punt a cheeky 10 euros that JM will be around for a while, the flaws are obvious and he is big enough to get stuck into the challenge , he said in an interview live, that a lot of people have been waiting for him to stumble , he said'' fair play to them'' and he intends to turn it around, its not that they have become a bad team they just aint turning up, and its is big players that are looking the worst. city do look the best balanced side apart form anything else.
@paulgdaly mat is the chelsea boy,,,,,,i have millwall in my blood i make no apologies nor any claims of greatness,,,,,, i lived close to the ground in my yoof....
@paulgdaly south london,,,dept ford and old kent rd,,,,,,short walk to cold blow lane,,,,mat was a blues fan before he did a flit to vancouver,,,,,loves his ball does young mat....i thought everton were top tier the other day,,,,,that young fellee stones deserves the attention he gets,,,reminded me of bobby moore in some ways,,,the anticipation i think , the way he reads the game.....good manager up there spanish blokey...what say yu @mloup stones englands saviour ?
@kingofmen Stones is the real deal. Has what Moore and Beckenbauer and Maldini had- a real calmness in the eye of the storm. Reads the game really well too.
@kingofmen@paulgdaly Stones is v good without doubt. Everton should have let him go as Champions League experience would have been great for hum pre Euros. And Mourinho was right - he would have gone straight into the first team!
I sued to live just the other side of Eel Brook Common in my younger days - could hear the crowd from the back garden so my mum always knew whether I'd be in a good mood getting home. In the early 80s, that was not often...
@kingofmen That makes him even more intriguing then as a contender I think. Strong willed, attractive football, good on promoting youth, good international reputation - we could make a killing!

Bet you are glad not to have put any money on Chelsea! How about a sneaky tenner on JM being gone by Sunday night?
