Very successful single release from 1976, making No. 8 in the UK and No. 12 in the US, Phil Lynott was at the height of his creative powers, and so far unaffected by the drug habits which would eventually take their toll and rob the world of an immense talent. Personally, no Lynott no Lizzy, and I feel that the modern line-up suffers all the more for his absence. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thin_Lizzy#.22The_Boys_Are_Back_in_Town.22_.281975.E2.80.9377.29
This is what I like about My Jam and the Jammers I follow. A song, an education, and I only need to click a simple link. And I get wonderful surprises! THANKS ...
I saw them in a 7,500 seat theater in '78. 800 people showed up. Phil Lynott told everyone to come down front. The band absolutely tore the house down. Great choice!
