Okay, not too much prevarication form me for this number, as it'll be enjoyed with or without my waffle. A quick rundown and opinion comes from blogger "silvererieann" in her online site "In The Third Decade..." (for over 30s, at http://silvererieann.wordpress.com/):

"Rosalie is best known because of Thin Lizzy’s cover, and Phil being a fan of Bob Seger (and The Allman Brothers) was surprised that he didn’t include it in his set. So he decided to give it a proper treatment and added it to the Lizzy catalog. It was issued as a single off the album [in 1975] but went nowhere because the studio recording of it was simply too subdued. That said, the version on Live and Dangerous is the definitive mix."

It made No. 20 in the UK in 1978, after that false start in'75 (unplaced). Enjoy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fighting_%28Thin_Lizzy_album%29

There was a period in the second half of the Seventies when Thin Lizzy were untouchable. Simply the Best.

Nice to see me ol school chum. They were simply brilliant live - especially at the Apollo. Happy days!

Thanks all. As I said, though, I am NOT a fan of the post-Phil line-up. For me, that's little more than a self-tribute band. Sounds harsh, but that's how important he was to them.
