Sometimes when a new artist or band debuts you're not always ready for the sound they bring. Tindersticks had a complicated gestation between both my brother and myself, we passed around their second album as if it were a time bomb with a secret detonation. Leap ahead ten years and suddenly I own their entire catalog (and then some) and I want to be Stuart Staples. Leap ahead another three years and I'm watching Tindersticks perform in an old abandoned church in Chicago and it has become one of my most cherished musical memories. This track can be found on Curtains (released in 1997, it is their third studio album).
