Shaka. I was at the Shepton Mallet Festival it was a blast in every sense of the word. like many thousands of others I had to walk the 20 miles from Bath station through the night, on arrival it started pissing with rain but we just fell where we where and slept. It was like the Somme by the time the bands kicked in! Pink Floyd played Atom Heart Mother Live, Donovan played for 3 hours as no one could touch Electric guitars for fear of electrocution! It was a rite of passage for sure!
Hi @philgeorge54 & @Shaka I've just read your comments about the Bath Festival. I was there and I've still got the programme to prove it!!!! Remember my friend just left his car @ the side of the road and we walked the last couple of hours to the site! Great memories.....I remember the Byrds also playing a fantastic acoustic set in the rain. Other highlights for me inc. Jeff Airplane & their offshoot "Hot Tuna" and a mighty set from Led Zep. Ahh, happy days!!
@metallicagirl Sorry to hi-jack your Jam page Cassi!!!
