I couldn't have asked for a better track to feature as my 5000th loved song, in my long musical journey. Billy Preston's "Hey Brother" represents my entire journey so far in 2m34s, through the heavy-weights that helped make it. Following a Beatles collaboration, Billy Preston called upon the friends he helped bring to stardom for his "That's the Way God Planned It" album: from the bluesy bass of Keith Richards, to the rock'n'roll riffs of George Harrison, with the jazzy beats of Ginger Baker and his lovely assistant on the solo guitar, Eric Clapton - this track has it all. It's great to hear this again and to immortalise in my cannon.   4
